How to Apply
The trustees meet twice a year, usually in April and October, to consider applications.
These should be sent to arrive by 1 March or 1 September in any year to our administrators, using whatever media you think will best showcase your application: words, pictures, video etc.
An application should be brief and to the point. It should include why the project is important, what it will achieve, what other funding the project has raised, and how success will be measured.
We support projects in the UK and abroad, and for all projects – and particularly international ones - we need to see clear evidence of charitable constitution and effective governance, to ensure that we comply with our charitable status and are giving money to strong causes.
Please don’t apply for grant support unless your application clearly falls within the areas we support. To keep administration costs low, we don’t answer enquiries that don’t relate to our stated goals and aims.
Also, to keep costs down, please submit any applications by email, not by postal mail.
If you are applying for a training bursary, you should say what the course is, how you will make use of the skills you will acquire and details of the institution. We want to see how the training supports our goals as a charity and evidence of matching funding you have raised. We give preference to candidates who have not already benefited from post-school education and who have some working experience already. Funds are only paid directly to an educational institution.
