Mozambique Clean Water,
Healthy Family Project

Changing the world through water

WaterAid works to change the world through water. Chacegrove supported WaterAid in Mozambique, to provide clean running water supplied to maternity health facilities in dire need.

WaterAid exceeded expectations for this project providing 14,000 people with access to clean water. Five water supply systems were constructed or rehabilitated, delivering clean water to healthcare facilities, communities and 145 households.

Strengthening local capacity

The programme also strengthened local capacity through the completion of a graduate placement scheme with four graduates supporting hygiene behaviour change campaigns, and community engagement.’

“I chose to join this course because it was implemented in my district by WaterAid and because I want to explore the area of water. I wanted to help my community with what I learned”
